My name is Francine Epstein and I’m a Relationship Coach and Counselor. My expertise has been honed by my own 32-year marital relationship and over 35 years of working with men and women and their relationships. First, in the form of Men’s and Women’s Clubs, then in Workshops, Seminars, Retreats and now as a Coach for individuals and couples.
While I majored in psychology in college, it is not the basis of my work. My participation in the early “transformational” self-improvement programs of the 70’s, and then applying what I learned to my own relationships, allowed me to have a direct experience of what worked and what didn’t.
My late husband, Lew Epstein, and I had a commitment to having the best relationship possible, and then having that relationship contribute to everyone around us. Out of that commitment came the Men’s and Women’s Clubs in cities throughout the U.S. and in London. We met with groups of people every month and explored relationship using our own as a jumping off point. It became very clear that what we do, think and say can and will get in the way in our relationships. Ways we relate to our partners can and will produce the exact opposite of what we want and need.
We discovered ways to avoid some of those pitfalls and more importantly, ways to resolve and recover our relationship when they occur. We distilled this information down into 10 Practices and in 1998 wrote the book, “Trusting You Are Loved – Practices for Partnership”. A revised edition was released in 2014.
These last 20 years have been about imparting this information in the most experiential and empowering format for people; through Workshops, Events, Seminars, Retreats and Intensives. If you live in the SF Bay Area there are still Men’s and Women’s Clubs available for you to join.
